Practice-oriented soil monitoring partner. Field protocols, indicator sets from restoration sites, support for interpretation of soil-health data.
13 years of field work, documented. Available to EU consortia.
Biotech 22 participates in EU research consortia as an implementation and demonstration partner. We bridge laboratory validation and field-scale operation between TRL 5 and TRL 7.
What we contribute as a consortium partner.
Nature-based soil restoration
We design and execute bioaugmentation and composting strategies in the field. Pilot validation under real site conditions.
Field deployment & validation
We co-develop work packages on land reclamation and ecosystem resilience. We scale from lab-tested processes to field demonstration (TRL 5 to 7).
Circular bioeconomy integration
We convert local organic waste into soil amendment products. Outputs are climate-positive and aligned with Green Deal objectives.
Long-term impact monitoring
We track soil health indicators. Biodiversity, nutrients, structure. We contribute to LCA and carbon footprint assessments. Active network across municipalities, utilities, and industry.
Where Biotech 22 is positioned to contribute in 2026.
Mission Soil, Deadline 23 September 2026
Demonstration partner for soil resilience solutions. Field interventions to improve soil organic matter, vegetation, erosion control, moisture retention.
Cluster 6, Deadline 17 September 2026
Bioremediation and field demonstration partner with bioaugmentation/phytoremediation know-how, monitoring, replication pathways.
Niche partner. Soil restoration, erosion control, land stabilization around recharge areas; terrestrial monitoring; engagement with land managers.
CBE Joint Undertaking
Partner for nature-based fertilising alternatives, field testing and validation.
Core residual-biomass valorisation partner. Sourcing/pretreatment of sewage sludge and biowaste, biotech conversion via composting, logistics with utilities, demonstration of waste-to-product chains.
